The Czech won, 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-3, in two hours and 20 minutes of play.
In the final, Kvitova will meet the winner of the match Caroline Garcia – Arina Sabalenko (7 WTA, the only player from the TOP-10 WTA remaining in the competition).

The Western & Southern Open is the last tournament before the US Open 2022
WTA 1000 category competition. The tournament is contested in hard mode from August 15 to 21, 2022. The total prize pool is $2,527,250 and there are 64 players at the start of the main draw. The reigning champion is Ashley Barty (now retired), who won the title last year.
