LeBron James has extended his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers for two years, the player’s agent Rich Paul said. According to ESPN, the star signed a deal worth $97.1 million.

James, 37, will remain with the Lakers through at least 2024, as his contract includes an option for an additional season through 2025. The new contract makes LeBron James the highest-paid player in NBA history with a guaranteed $532. millions during his career.

James’ previous contract expired in 2023 and guaranteed him an annual salary of $44.5 million.

With four NBA championship rings, James has been playing for the Lakers since 2018, with whom he won the title in 2020. LeBron previously won the title with the Miami Heat (2012, 2013) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016).
