Men from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, who are sent to fight against Ukrainian troops, were given boots of different sizes, uniforms eight sizes larger, without body armor and helmets, and sometimes in sneakers, according to a video released by a Ukrainian. “They didn’t give me shoes,” said the man in sneakers.

Another said he suffered a laceration, with almost all of his helmet sticking out.

Another soldier showed the camera a size 45 and a size 43 boot.

“When he was mobilized, I was given a size 56 uniform, I wear a 48 (…). It was impossible for me to train in shape. The problem was with body armor and helmets. They didn’t give us anything. The body armor was brought to me by my parents, they brought it personally,” said another soldier.
