
A man was fatally struck by a train in Bufta on Monday morning and the train is standing still while prosecutors investigate the scene.
“Train IR 1751, running between Bucharest Nord – Suceava, suddenly and fatally injured a person, a man, on the Buftea – Parish line, at 18+900 km. The train will be resumed after the completion of the intervention carried out at the scene of the accident by the competent authorities, including the IML. At present, the arrival of representatives of the prosecutor’s office is expected. Other trains passing through the area are not affected and have been diverted to Line 2, Parish – Buftea,” said Oana Brianzan, spokesperson for the National Rail Company CFR SA, as quoted by Club Feroviar.
Train IR 1751 departed Bucharest Nord station at 10:55 and was scheduled to arrive at its final destination Suceava at 16:50.
