Cyprus remains an unresolved issue of illegal occupation, despite the consistent decisions of the UN Security Council and global condemnation, emphasizes Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in his message on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the second phase of the Attila invasion.

He emphasizes that the only solution is a bicommunal bizonal federation within the framework defined by the relevant decisions of the Security Council,

In addition, Nikos Dendias states that Greece will continue to side with the Republic of Cyprus, as always, and that Nicosia cannot remain the only divided capital in Europe.

In detail in his messages on social networks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs states: “48 years since the second stage of the Attila invasion. The Cyprus question remains an unresolved issue of illegal occupation, despite successive United Nations Security Council resolutions and worldwide condemnation. The only solution is a two-communal, two-zone federation within the framework determined by the relevant decisions of the Security Council. Greece, as always, will continue to stand by the side of the Republic of Cyprus. Nicosia cannot remain the only divided capital in Europe.”
