The weather will be unstable in most of our country, and today is the third day in a row of unstable weather, which, according to forecast data from the National Athens Observatory / Meteo.grwill run until Monday, August 15th.
Phenomena will appear on lunch and afternoon mainly in the continental parts, however, due to the summer holiday period, special attention should be paid to maritime activities, since rains and local storms will be temporarily accompanied by strong winds (gallons) in areas predominantly of the North Aegean Sea (Chalkidiki, islands of the Northeast Aegean , Sporades) and Ionian.
Saturdayaccording to the latest forecast data from the National Observatory of Athens/Meteo.gr, initially in Macedonia, Thessaly, Epirus, the Central and Western Continent and Ionia, local rains are expected, which will intensify during the noon and afternoon hours, as well as be local storms mainly in the rest of the central and northern part of the mainland and possibly in the mountains of Crete.
The phenomena can be intense in places and will be accompanied by hail mainly in the northern continental parts and in the central part of the Ionian Sea.
Phenomena from the evening hours will temporarily stop in most of the mainland, but they will continue locally in areas of Macedonia, Thessaly and possibly in the northern Aegean, and from early Sunday morning storms will affect the North Ionian, Epirus and Macedonia.
Finally, despite the improvement in fire and meteorological indicators, special attention should be paid to continental regions where phenomena will manifest themselves, as there will be intense electrical activity, resulting in the risk of forest fires from lightning strikes.
