“Over the past 12 months, we checked 87 individuals who received income from this type of activity. In the case of 56 individuals, it was determined that they did not declare fully or even at all, we calculated their tax, and the determined taxes amount to 6.1 million lei, almost 1 million euros,” said the head of ANAF. Lucian Geius, for Kanal D. “What could the state do with this money? There’s a lot that can be done, we can run water and sewer on two streets, maybe pave the streets in a smaller village,” Geiusz said.

“We monitor the money that comes from Facebook and see what money goes to accounts in Romania. I did their calculation, gave them a decision and took their money. I hope that in the next period we will be able to create an Antifraud department for active online monitoring. The solution is to have computer programs for this, and for us to see some flags, some warnings that a person very often appears in such an environment, receives income from there and does not declare it,” said the president of ANAF Lucian Hayes.

As a reminder, earlier this week, Lucian Geiusz stated that influencer checks are ongoing and that he will publicly announce the results of the checks.
