In the southern German federal state of Bavaria, at least 34 people were injured as a result of an accident at the Legoland amusement park, two of them were seriously injured, a local police spokesman said on Thursday, August 11. . According to the park administration, the trains develop speeds of up to 8 meters per second or up to 29 kilometers per hour on the slides. All available forces were mobilized to help the victims, including three rescue helicopters. Despite the accident, the amusement park continued to function.

Legoland Bavaria opened in Günzburg on the A8 highway in 2002. Günzburg won the right to open the park by defeating nearly 300 competitors from all over the world, including Tokyo.
