Ukraine: 13 civilians died as a result of the shelling of Dnepropetrovsk by Russian troops

Thirteen civilians died overnight as a result of Russian shelling in the Dnepropetrovsk region of the central-eastern region. UkraineGovernor Valentin Reznichenko announced this.

Two of the wounded died from their injuries, adding to the 11 deaths reported by the governor minutes earlier via the Telegram platform.

At last count, 11 people, five of them seriously, were injured in the night’s shelling in this relatively safe area, where civilians have been displaced from the Donbass further east and are the focus of Russia’s attack.

“We had a terrible night (…) It is very difficult to get the bodies out of the rubble,” Valentin Reznichenko stressed in his message. “I beg you, go to safety during the air raid (…) Don’t let the Russians kill you.”

In the course of this shelling, Grad multiple launch rocket launchers hit the city of Marganets, which is located across the Dnieper River opposite the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Ukraine, and the village of Vysotrasovka.

“Eighty rockets were deliberately and covertly fired at residential areas while people were sleeping in their homes,” the governor said, adding that more than 20 buildings were damaged in Marganets and power lines were damaged, leaving thousands without electricity.

The governor also said that a dormitory, two schools, a concert hall, city council building and other administrative buildings were also damaged in the attack.
