As a result of the bombing of the Sarmat brewery in the Kalininsky district of the occupied city of Donetsk on the night of Thursday, August 11, an ammonia pipeline was damaged and ammonia leaked. According to the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Insider UA”, many people were injured, one person died, the inhabitants of the city “are asked to close the windows and not stay out”. At the same time, the Donetsk News Agency, operating on the territory of the self-proclaimed “DNR”, with reference to the “Headquarters of Territorial Defense”, specified that the area affected during the release of ammonia was 2 kilometers.

According to preliminary information, 32 people were at the plant at the time of the bombing, one died and two were injured.

The self-proclaimed republic’s “Ministry of Emergency Situations” recommended that its residents take steps to additionally seal off their homes and breathe through cotton gauze bandages moistened with a five percent citric or acetic acid solution.

Meanwhile, social networks are actively distributing video recordings of a fire that started in a brewery in Donetsk after the bombing.

The “authorities” of the “DPR” blame the incident on the Ukrainian military.
