
Big Fire broke out on Wednesday morning in a wooded area in Askos Zakynthos.
A strong force of 24 firefighters, 10 vehicles, five planes and a helicopter was mobilized to put out the fire.

Evacuation team at number 112
In fact, the evacuation order was given to number 112 in Megala Alonia, where several residential premises are located, as the front moves there. Those in the area are asked to evacuate to Ano Volimes.

According to the fire brigade, the fire covers pine trees south of the village of Askos.
There is no danger to the residential area as the area is subject to light winds of 1-3 Beaufort from the north/northwest which drive the flames away from the community.
