American pop singer Britney Spears returns to the music scene in an unexpected collaboration with Elton John. “Hold Me Closer” is the title of the song, confirmed by the PA news agency, quoted by The Guardian newspaper in a related report.
This is a cover of the British star’s 1971 hit “Tiny Dancer” from the album “Madman Across the Water”. The song peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The first confirmation came when the famous singer shared on his personal Instagram account the title of the new song, along with an emoji: a rose for Spears and a rocket for him as Rocketman.
The star’s return comes in a busy and difficult year with countless headlines about her love life, motherhood, mental health issues and legal battles with her father that are still ongoing despite her acquittal in November.
