Russia on Tuesday invited a meeting of the most powerful UN body for Thursday afternoon in New York.

The General Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, will inform the 15-member council about the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP.

The nuclear power plant in the town of Energodar, Zaporizhia Oblast, was bombed repeatedly over the weekend and suffered some damage, but critical infrastructure is believed to be intact.

Russia and Ukraine blamed each other for the attacks. Claims cannot be independently verified.
