
The fight has been going on for 15 hours firefighters forces with flames in the village of Petroto Domokos. Due to the strong wind that blows in the area, firefighters are unable to extinguish the fire. Fire which flared up early in the morning, flared up again at noon, formed two fronts and is now moving towards the Thessalian side.
Until noon, the fronts of fire threatened the village of Petroto, but were stopped by ground and air forces. In the afternoon, the wind changed the direction of the fire, leading it towards Thessaly, without threatening, however, a single village. 38 firefighters with 10 vehicles, 2 EMODE brigades, with the help of aircraft (PZL, Air Tractor and Canader) are participating in the extinguishing, and ground forces are also being reinforced from Larissa.
