
Landing completed 300 palm trees on the central island of Syngrou Avenuefrom the height of the Pantheon University to the Delta of Faliriko.
The intervention was carried out by the region of Attica in the context of planning the renewal of green spaces on the islands of the central road axes.
According to the county, the selection of this particular type of palm was made because it is suitable for the particularly high temperatures recorded in the area and is not easily attacked by the disease that eats away at those palms that remained in L. Syngrove et al. from previous years.
The project contractor was selected through an open electronic tender, and the total budget of the contract is 153,313 euros.
For the protection and care of plantations and trees, daily care of plants is provided, throughout the road and transport network of the district, with the arrangement of an irrigation system and daily work, such as pruning, cleaning, etc.
Similar works have already been carried out on the avenues of Posidonos, Kifisias, Athens, Vassilissis Sofias, Petru Rallis and Grigoriou Lambrakis.
