
CFR SA has identified the winning tender for the modernization of the 55 km between Arad and Timisoara, line 310 at Mersul Trenurilor. The distance between the two cities is 57 km, the fastest train takes 49 minutes and the slowest takes 108 minutes. On the fastest sections, trains will be able to move at a speed of 160 km/h.
CFR SA has identified the winning tender proposal for the modernization of the railway infrastructure and increasing the speed of traffic to 160 km/h on the Ronat Triai – Arad section.
The national railway company CFR SA announces that it has been selected as the winner in the public tender procedure for the procurement of design and implementation services for the modernization of the Ronat Triai – Arad section (lot 4) related to the investment objective “Modernization of the CF Caransebeș – Timisoara line” – Arad” to increase the speed of movement to 160 km/h for passenger trains and 120 km/h for freight trains.
The financial offer submitted by the Association WEBUILD SPA – Partecipazioni Italia SPA – SALCEF SPA – Timișoara – Arad Lot 4, in the amount of 2,184,174,656.60 lei without VAT, was determined as the winner, the public procurement contract is concluded and signed by both parties at the end of the legal appeal period.
The duration of the contract is 102 months, of which: 42 months for design and execution of works, 60 months is the warranty period of the object.
The funding source has been identified and will be provided through the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR), Component 4 – Sustainable Transport.
The main tasks of the program
Modernization of lot 4 Ronat Triaj, group D – Arad (55 km), from km 008+183 (output signal from Ronat Triaj, group D), to km 56+350 (input signal to Arad station). In addition to this section, also within Lot 4, the project also includes the modernization/reconfiguration of the CF line Aradu Nou – Glogovăț (signpost 220), at a distance of approx. 7 kilometers. On the existing track, the railway is simple, electrified, equipped with a UAV installation and arranged both in an embankment with a maximum height of 12 meters and in an embankment with a maximum depth of 8 meters.
On the greater part of the railway, which is planned to be modernized, the track will be doubled. The proposed railway route will mainly follow the existing location of the CF line, with the exception of sections consisting of tracks and curves that do not provide a diversion of the line with parameters for traffic at a speed of 160 km/h.
The existing railway between Arad Nou and Arad stations will remain idle, but will be upgraded.
Between the stations of Arad Nou and Glogovec, the existing railway route (Arad Nou – Glogovec line) will be modified in order to be able to create a rail connection that will bypass the municipality of Arad for freight traffic. trains that will run between Timisoara and Arad. The new section of the railway, designed between Arad Nou and Glogovec, will cross the Mures River on a bridge built upstream from the existing one.
The following works will also be performed:
– reconstruction or repair/modernization of a number of 6 bridges, 30 decks, 7 crossings, 15 uneven passages, including 9 unloading decks.
– modernization of power supply, contact network, telecommunications, signaling, centralization, blocking (SB), plumbing, heating, etc. installations.
– modernization of buildings at stations and stops on the site: Sânandrei, Băile Călacea, Ortisoara, Vinga, Şag, PM Valea Viilor, Aradu Nou, Glogovăț, Micălaca. The station that will be converted into a traffic station is the Valea Viilor station.
– to modernize the existing local networks, water supply and sewage pipes, which ensure the connection of all consumers who are currently connected to the KF stations.
– environmental protection – sound-absorbing panels, soil decontamination, landscaping, hydrocarbon separators and sedimentation tanks, fences and protective panels.
