Former coach Mirel Radoj became the new coach of the Universitat Craiova team after Laszlo Balinta was sacked on the same day.

Radoj was introduced on Tuesday afternoon at a press conference organized in Craiova.

“You will not hear big words from me, because I came to work, first of all, to solve existing problems. If there were no problems, I would not be in front of you and probably Balint would have stayed.

We cannot promise what we cannot deliver. Performances can be made only if you take each match separately. The most important game for us is the game on Thursday.

I can say that this is a dream. From the moment I started training, I wanted to join some clubs.

I would not like to speculate that the financial part will be more or less important. The conditions are different and were accepted by both parties.

Laszlo Balint, dismissed from the University of Craiova after only two months

Since June 13, the Kraiova team has been headed by Laszlo Balint.

With Balint on the bench, the University of Craiova collected five points in four stages of the Super League.

Mirel Redoi, on the other hand, has not coached since the end of 2021 when he parted ways with the Romanian national team.
