OUR Israeli army announced today that it is preparing to conduct raids that will last a “week” in Gaza Stripwhere it intensifies its strikes against the Islamic Jihad armed group.

A military spokesman said the army is “preparing for a week-long operation” and “is not currently negotiating a ceasefire” following reports that Egypt is trying to de-escalate in the Palestinian enclave where shooting continues.
