On Thursday afternoon, a convoy of several Soviet-made tanks was filmed in Bulgaria during a police escort on its way to the Giurgiu-Ruse Friendship Bridge.

A reserve general interviewed by TVR said after watching the video that the armored vehicles look like T-72s, Soviet tanks from the 80s.

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defense confirmed to TVR News that the tanks were indeed from North Macedonia, had passed through Bulgaria and were on their way to Romania.

TVR asked the Ministry of National Defense where the armored vehicles, which arrived from North Macedonia via Bulgaria to Romania, would go, but did not receive an answer.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Defense in Skopje announced that it would transfer an unspecified number of T-72 tanks to Ukraine, but clarified that the combat vehicles have composite armor and a computerized fire stabilization system.
