Simona Halep found out her possible opponents at the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto (August 8-14). The former world number one won the trophy on the Canadian tour no less than twice during her career (2016, 2018).

The organizers made the draw for the Toronto Masters, and Simona Halep will have an easy opponent in the first and second rounds.

Only in the third round, the athlete from Romania was able to face a strong player: Anette Kontaveit.

Simona Halep is the only player from Romania to play in Toronto after Sorana Kirstia was replaced by Bianca Andreescu.
