The FSB detained a 30-year-old Russian man who is accused of planning a terrorist attack against the prosecutor’s office and the Military Commissariat of Cherkessk, reports the Russian news agency TASS. During the search of the suspect’s residence, two improvised explosive devices were found.

According to the intelligence services of the Russian Federation, the young man who wanted to blow up the recruitment point in Cherkessk was a supporter of the “Right Sector” organization, banned in Russia due to the protection of Ukrainian national identity.

The FSB claims that the boy, born in 1992 in the city of Cherkessk of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, is a “follower of neo-Nazi ideology” and “intended to commit terrorist acts against representatives of the republic’s law enforcement agencies and military forces under the auspices of the Right Sector organization.”

Employees of the Russian special services also say that the detained suspect wanted to reach Ukraine after the terrorist attack.

During the search of his home, the FSB found two improvised explosive devices weighing 3 kilograms, other components for the manufacture of devices, plans for the buildings of the prosecutor’s office and the Military Commissariat, as well as in means of communication. with other members of the “Right Sector” organization.

The FSB is investigating a 30-year-old man for “preparation of a terrorist attack” and “participation in an extremist organization.”
