The new floating tank will be put into operation by the end of August natural gas at the Retibus LNG terminal, almost doubling the storage capacity.
“The new tank is ready to receive the first shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by the end of August. This will ensure the supply of our country with natural gas, most of which is used to generate electricity, and thus protect our country in the near future,” said the Minister of Environment and Energy, Kostas Skrekas, who went to Saronic today.
“The Greek government has taken the necessary actions from the very beginning to protect our country from the unfavorable scenario of a natural gas shutdown next winter,” emphasized Mr. Skrekas.
“We are grateful for the cooperation, it gives us the opportunity to provide energy,” said, in particular, DESFA Director General Maria Rita Galli.
