Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine will consider Hungary a problem only when the statements of the Hungarian government against Kyiv coincide with the decisions of the authorities in Budapest, writes Rador with reference to RBC.

“I believe that Hungary is a “fifth column” in itself. This is their internal policy, and the Hungarian people must figure out to what extent it is in their interests,” Kuleba said in an interview with Ukrinform.

According to the minister, Hungary’s statements are not always a problem for Ukraine, as they do not always coincide with the country’s decisions and actions.

“For example, Budapest joined the sanctions against Russia and supported Ukraine’s acquisition of the EU candidate status. At the same time, there were cases when Hungary blocked some possible new sanctions against the Kremlin,” Dmytro Kuleba explained.

“That is, as long as Hungary’s statements do not coincide with its decisions regarding Ukraine, we can coexist and work. If what they say (Hungarian officials, no) starts to coincide with what they do (Hungarian authorities, no), then, yes, there will be a problem,” the minister added.
