Russia said on Wednesday it had destroyed a foreign weapons depot in Ukraine’s western Lviv region, a region bordering Poland that is rarely hit by Moscow’s missiles, AFP reported.

“Russian high-precision missiles” destroyed “a warehouse of foreign weapons and ammunition that were delivered to the Kyiv regime from Poland” near Radekhov, Lviv region, the Russian military said in a statement.

The military has not provided additional evidence for its claims, and the AFP has not been able to independently verify the claims.

Russian forces also said they destroyed four ammunition depots, including one in Mykolaiv Oblast and three in Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine, as well as a fuel depot in Mykolaiv Oblast, the same source said.

The Russian military also claims the destruction of more than 50 Ukrainian soldiers during the shelling of the city of Mykolayka, Donetsk region.

Last June, Moscow announced that it had destroyed a NATO weapons depot in western Ukraine.
