On July 29, a Joint Ministerial Decision (JM) was signed, which defines the criteria for inclusion in the grant program for posts in babies, kindergartens for the period 2022-2023

It is expected that the application deadline will be immediately determined by the Hellenic Society for Local Development and Self-Government and the application will be submitted electronically by the parents or representatives of the children using Taxisnet codes.

The Expression of Interest Notice to be published by EETAA will also specify the supporting documents to be submitted by interested parties, the method for filing objections, and other relevant clarifications.

In total, they will be directed to the program “Promotion and support of children for their inclusion in preschool education, as well as for the access of school-age children, adolescents and people with disabilities to creative employment services” for the period of 2022. -2023 from national and European resources 331.2 million euros.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the budget, increased compared to previous years, will allow the inclusion of more children in the program, as well as an increase in the amount of compensation through a voucher for the first time after 10 years. years in order to “cover rising costs and ensure the provision of quality services.”

In addition, the Ministry of Labor notes that “for the first time, the program for the next period is the same for working parents in both the private and public sectors and includes a new category of vouchers for parents with higher incomes, reaching 42,000 euros.” .

Care structures and the categories of children they can accommodate are in the following way:

Structure categories:

A. Infant, Kindergarten and Kindergartens: These differ in A1. for infants from 2 months to 2.5 years and A2. for kids from 2.5 years to 4 years.

B. Integrated Care Nursery (ICU): These are noted in B1. for infants from 8 months to 2.5 years, B2. for young children from 2.5 to 4 years and B3. for young children with disabilities from 2.5 to 6.5 years.

The selection criteria are economic and social and specialized. in the following way:

A. Children of families with an annual income of 2021 are eligible to participate in all structures with the full cost of the tour:

  • up to 27,000 euros for two children.
  • up to 30,000 euros for three children.
  • up to 33,000 euros for four children, all
  • up to 36,000 euros from five children or more.

B. For building categories A1, A2, B1 and B2, a voucher is available if the household’s annual income in 2021 is:

  • up to 33,000 euros for two children.
  • up to 36,000 euros for three children.
  • up to 39,000 euros for four children, all
  • up to 42,000 euros from five children or more.

According to a statement from the Department of Labor, it notes that children with physical, mental, mental illness or disabilities, or people with disabilities who apply for integrated care kindergartens, are not subject to income criteria. Similarly, income criteria do not apply to legal guardian parents who are classified as disabled (with a disability rate of more than 67%) who apply for kindergartens, nurseries or kindergartens (position category A1, A2, B1, B2). .

Regarding the signing of the KYA, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Domna Mihailidou said: “Not a single child outside the kindergarten. Through an active social policy, we fight poverty and social exclusion and strengthen as many families as possible. We don’t leave anyone behind.” In addition, Ms. Mihailidou noted that “for the first time, children themselves are beneficiaries, after a decade, 10% is added to each voucher to ensure quality services, and government employees and families with higher incomes, while maintaining an increase in the number of children using the program by 20 %”.
