Health: At the start for a personal doctor

From 3000 personal doctorsof which 2160 government doctors and about 850 private doctorsThe Ministry of Health begins the “construction” of a new first aid. Yesterday afternoon, a platform was opened for citizens to register a personal doctor for all regions of the country, except for Attica and the South Aegean, where the required number of doctors has not been recruited to cover the population. These regions have been granted a deferral of applications for connecting doctors to the network until the end of the month, and the site for registering citizens will open on September 1. In the meantime, doctors can continue to register for the rest of the country until Friday, August 5th. Health Minister Thanos Pluris said yesterday: “At the moment we have about 3,000 doctors. We estimate that to fully cover the population, we will need another 1,500 to 2,000 people.”

Yesterday, a citizen registration platform was opened for all regions of the country, except for Attica and the South Aegean Islands.

All citizens over the age of 16 have the right to register with a doctor of their choice. Registration is carried out through the platform https://ehealth.gov.gr/p-rv/pin which the recording is made using Taxisnet codes and AMCA, or in person at a polyclinic, district polyclinic, TOMY or your personal doctor. At the same time, a citizen must know his AMCA and have with him an identity document (for example, an identity card) or a photocopy of it for simple presentation. According to the Minister of Health, from September, citizens will be able to register with a personal doctor and through a private pharmacy.

Citizens registered with a family doctor (under the old 2018 system) are also considered registered with a personal doctor. Uninsured citizens are registered with the personal doctors of state primary health care institutions, and if this is not possible, then with those contracted with the EOPS. If a citizen lives in an area where there are no doctors, he can choose a personal doctor from another area who will be consulted using modern technology.
