The talks between the two ministers are expected to focus mainly on the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations in a wide range of sectors (such as the economy, shipping and tourism), relations between the European Union and Vietnam, the two countries’ common commitment to international law, including the law of the sea, as well as international events, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During the visit, it is planned to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Diplomatic Academies of the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will transfer the financial assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the National Olympic Committee of Vietnam in a special ceremony. The aid will be delivered to the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Hoang Dao Cuong, with whom the Minister of Foreign Affairs will also meet on bilateral cooperation.

In particular, on Tuesday he will meet with the Prime Minister (and Minister of Foreign Affairs) of Brunei and the Deputy Prime Minister (and Minister of Foreign Affairs) of Thailand, as well as with the Foreign Ministers of Singapore and Cambodia, and on Wednesday he is expected to meet with the Foreign Ministers of Affairs of Indonesia, India and the Philippines.
