
Over the last day, 7,532 new cases of coronavirus were registered in our country, which is 1,296 less than the previous day. The most cases were registered in Bucharest, 1,663, while more than 300 infections were registered in the counties of Brasov, Iasi, Prahova (413), Sibiu and Timișoara. 20 patients with COVID-19 died, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday.
“In the last day, 7,532 new cases of SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, which is 1,299 less than the previous day. 1,469 of the new cases in 24 hours are re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection,” the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday.
The Ministry of Health said that more than 300 cases were registered in the counties of Brasov, Iasi, Prahova (413), Sibiu and TimiÈ™oara, and in the capital – 1,663 new cases of infection.
How many people infected with the coronavirus have been hospitalized
In contrast to new confirmed cases, 303 people were confirmed positive after retesting patients who had already tested positive.
“In specialized medical institutions, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 3,760, which is 3 more than the previous day. Also, 254 people were hospitalized in ATI, which is 12 less than the previous day. Of the 254 patients admitted to the HTI, 221 are unvaccinated. Out of the total number of those hospitalized, 565 are minors, 561 are hospitalized in wards, which is 25 less than the previous day, and 4 in the gas station, as in the previous day,” the ministry specified.
To date, 65,983 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 have died.
“In the period from 29.07.2022 (10:00) to 30.07.2022 (10:00), according to the INSP, 20 deaths were recorded (13 men and 7 women), there were no deaths before the control interval. Among the 20 deceased, 4 were registered in the age category of 60-69 years, 7 in the age category of 70-79 years, and 9 in the age category of over 80 years. All the deceased patients had co-morbidities, and 14 were unvaccinated,” the authorities said.
Over the last day, 4,863 RT-PCR tests were conducted (2,971 – according to the diagnosis and medical protocol and 1,892 – according to the request) and 17,849 express antigen tests.
To date, 13,310,353 RT-PCR tests and 10,730,730 rapid antigen tests have been processed at the national level.
